Serena has extensive experience in the formation of, and investment in, private funds (including USD funds, RMB funds, and dual-currency funds). A native Mandarin speaker with significant international experience, she has represented many of the most prominent sponsors and institutional investors.

She advises international and Asian fund sponsors on the formation of private funds, including buyout, growth capital, venture capital, real estate, private credit, co-investment, fund of funds and separate accounts. In addition, Serena advises sponsors on their regulatory matters, carried interest plans, and operational matters. She has advised international fund managers including Carlyle, GLP, Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia and TPG, and Asian sponsors including Ally Bridge Group, BHG Long Hills, CICC, Fosun, Hony Capital, Kowloon Nights, Makers, Ping An Overseas Holdings and Sailing Capital. 

Serena regularly represents institutional investors in their investments in private funds, including insurance companies (such as China Ping An, China Life, FWD and New China Life), banks (such as ABCI, CMB and ICBCI), and large corporations and fund of funds (such as China Great Wall, CICC, CINDA, KHL, Poly Property and Wheelock).
