We have received numerous awards and recognitions for our support and promotion of diversity.
The American Lawyer’s Diversity Scorecard
The American Lawyer recognized MoFo as a top 10 firm on the 2017 Diversity Scorecard, an annual survey that ranks law firms according to their percentage of racially and ethnically diverse lawyers and partners. MoFo has placed in the top 15 every year since 2001.
Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley
Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley honored the firm with its 2011 Law Firm Diversity Award, making MoFo the second law firm to ever receive the honor.
Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom
The nation’s oldest and largest bar association of LGBT persons in the field of law awarded its 2012 Legal Service Award to MoFo for our demonstrated commitment to LGBT equality.
Bay Area Workplace Diversity Award
In 2011, MoFo was recognized for promoting equality in the workplace for LGBT employees.
Black Solicitors Network
MoFo won the Retaining Talent Award at the 2012 UK Legal Diversity Awards for its reduced hours policy and commitment to flexible schedules for working parents.
Chambers USA Women in Law Awards
In 2017, Chambers honored MoFo as Law Firm of the Year for Promoting Flexible Working Environments and Innovative Programs for Mothers. We were recognized in 2015 as having the Most Valuable Mentoring Program for Women Lawyers.
Coca-Cola’s Legal Division recognized MoFo with an honorable mention for its 2011 Living the Values Award.

At the 2014 Americas Women in Business Law Awards, MoFo was named the Best International Law Firm for Work-Life Balance.
Since 2012, MoFo has been ranked among the 100 Great Employers for Asian Americans.
Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index
Every year since 2003, MoFo has received a 100 percent ranking in HRC’s annual report on LGBT equality in corporate America.
Minority Law Journal
In 2012, MoFo ranked ninth in diversity among U.S. law firms nationwide.
In 2012, MoFo ranked fifth in overall diversity and was among the Top 100 Law Firms for Women, the Top 25 Law Firms for Hispanic-Americans, and the Top 25 Law Firms for Asian-Americans.
Project for Attorney Retention (PAR)
PAR honored Los Angeles partner Janie Schulman and her client with the 2011 Flex Success Award recognizing the crucial role clients play in making workplace flexibility a reality.
Starbucks Excellence in Diversity Award
In 2011, Starbucks Coffee Company honored MoFo with its third annual Excellence in Diversity award.
In 2013, Target Law Department presented MoFo with its inaugural Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award. We were one of two firms recognized for our long-standing commitment to diversity.
United Way of the Bay Area
In 2014, MoFo was one of two firms that received the United Way of the Bay Area’s Paul Glad Advancement Award. Named in honor of Paul Glad, an ardent supporter of justice and inclusion, the award recognizes law firms that go above and beyond in fostering diversity and women’s leadership in the workplace.

Women in Law Empowerment Forum
For seven consecutive years, MoFo has received Gold Standard certification in recognition of the integration of women into the firm’s top leadership.
Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers
In an annual survey of the best U.S. law firms for women, Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers recognized MoFo as one of the top 50 firms that has created and implemented best practices to retain, support, and promote women lawyers. 2017 marks the ninth year that we have been named to the Best Law Firms for Women list since the survey began in 2007.
Yale Law Women
In its annual survey of family friendliness, Yale Law Women named MoFo to its Top 10 Family Friendly Firms List for 2017. The firm was also recognized in two categories deemed important in promoting family friendliness: gender equality in the firm’s partnership and leadership teams and the availability and use of part-time and flex-time work schedules.
