Vault’s 2019 guide ranks us among the top 10 firms for diversity, among the top 5 for women, among the top 10 for minorities, among the top 10 for LGBTQ+ diversity, and among the top 25 for individuals with disabilities.

Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index

Every year since 2003, MoFo has received a 100 percent ranking in HRC’s annual report on LGBT equality in corporate America. 

Mansfield Certification Plus

MoFo achieved Mansfield Certification Plus status during Diversity Lab’s inaugural program in 2018, and was one of only 25 firms to receive the honor two years in a row following Mansfield 2.0 in 2019. Certified Plus status indicates that we met or exceeded the consideration requirements of the Mansfield Rule and reached at least 30 percent women, minority, and LGBTQ+ lawyer representation in a notable number of current leadership roles and committees.

The American Lawyer’s Diversity Scorecard

The American Lawyer recognized MoFo as a top 10 firm on the 2018 Diversity Scorecard, an annual survey that ranks law firms according to their percentage of racially and ethnically diverse lawyers and partners. MoFo has placed in the top 15 every year since 2001.

Women in Law Empowerment Forum

For seven consecutive years, MoFo has received Gold Standard certification in recognition of the integration of women into the firm’s top leadership.

Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers

In an annual survey of the best U.S. law firms for women, Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers recognized MoFo as one of the top 60 firms that has created and implemented best practices to retain, support, and promote women lawyers. 2018 marks the ninth year that we have been named to the Best Law Firms for Women list since the survey began in 2007.

Yale Law Women

Yale Law Women named MoFo as one of its 2018 Top 10 Female Friendly Firms. The report recognizes firms that have demonstrated a commitment to female friendly policies and practices.

Chambers USA Women in Law Awards

In 2017, Chambers honored MoFo as Law Firm of the Year for Promoting Flexible Working Environments and Innovative Programs for Mothers. We were recognized in 2015 as having the Most Valuable Mentoring Program for Women Lawyers.

Euromoney Legal Media Group

At the 2014 Americas Women in Business Law Awards, MoFo was named the Best International Law Firm for Work-Life Balance.

United Way of the Bay Area

In 2014, MoFo was one of two firms that received the United Way of the Bay Area’s Paul Glad Advancement Award. Named in honor of Paul Glad, an ardent supporter of justice and inclusion, the award recognizes law firms that go above and beyond in fostering diversity and women’s leadership in the workplace.
